The Mane News is the student-led publication for St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland. We are charged with being “the voice of the students at St. Andrew’s,” which means reporting all the news and opinions as accurately and fairly as possible.  No other publication has this task; as a monopoly, we must use our power wisely and well.

The simplest statement of our journalistic ethics centers on three words: accuracy, balance, and fairness. In addition, we must know and respect professional guidelines about libel and invasion of privacy.  Above all, we strive to use our positions for the greater good of the community and not for personal gratification or gain.
